Book Description

Book 1

When Chief Scientific Advisor Professor Ralph Frederick is summoned to the Prime Minister’s office his world is turned upside down by an unusual request from the wartime leader.

Frederick is tasked with establishing a highly classified research group whose key function is to gather intelligence on flying saucers. A sceptical Frederick contacts former wartime colleagues and former members on an elite secret society known as the Cambridge Apostles to form a committee codenamed ‘Angel’.

With his team assembled Frederick begins to look into UFO sightings and is soon drawn into world of mystery, espionage and a race to develop a technology captured by both the US and Soviet Superpowers. A technology hundreds of years more advanced and a technology which will determine the outright winner of the new Cold War. From the corridors of power in Whitehall, to the Welsh Valleys and finally a Top Secret research facility located in the Nevada desert Frederick’s faith and scientific knowledge are pushed to their limits.
In their quest to discover the truth Frederick and his team discover that not all allies are friends, and not all foes are enemies, and that there are men prepared to sell out the human race in exchange for power and wealth.

The Angel Committee dramatises UFO encounters of the 50s based on real life encounters and is the first part of a trilogy of novels following the exploits of Professor Frederick.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating 20 Oct. 2013
Format:Paperback
As I'm not a lover of spoilers suffice to say that this was a jolly good read! The characters were well rounded and utterly believable as were the plotlines. In fact a little TOO believable. The reader is drawn into a world that could...or indeed may...exist. Anyone who has the Discovery Channel will be all too aware of the conspiracy theories that abound in this genre. Chapman takes the Ufologist to the next level and weaves an intricate story that contains all the intrigue, suspense and drama that any self confessed Sci Fi fan could ever want. I was surprised to find it was a first novel but was glad to see a succession of short stories already on Amazon. Surely this author must have the sequel in the pipeline? I for one sincerely hope so!

Saw this as a recommendation on Facebook of all places! Read the authors blurb and thought, yes, I'll give it a go.
So so so pleased I did. Absolutely loved this book and cant wait for the next one!!!! If your into Science Fiction, UFOs, Conspiracy Theories, etc, this is an absolute must for you folks, enjoyable characters and a damn good story. Not going to tell you too much about it, read the write ups, purchase the book, get your favourite drink and snack food, turn off the TV and dive into what they used to call "a ripping good yarn", go on, do it, you know you want too! Me, I'm off to check out his short stories til his next book is out. G'night folks!

4.0 out of 5 stars The conspiracy Archons 30 Aug. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
All or most of the major players in the ongoing saga of extraterrestrial life appear in a likeable scenario built around a fictional character, stringing together major events in the UFO calendar, all in all a good read in a tongue in cheek kind of way, look forward to the continuing saga.

5.0 out of 5 stars For anyone who loves a quality thriller 7 Oct. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
The author of The Angel Committee advises readers he “has always been fascinated by science and the unexplained” and he “researched a lot of UFO sightings both in the UK and the Unites States of America.” Which probably explains why this reader was left wondering where the fiction begins and where the truth ends in this superior novel…

No surprises then that the amount of detail within its pages is impressive – as are the thrills, mystery, tension and twists.

This is a high-speed story that UFOlogists will love. Better than that: it’s tale that will appeal to anyone who loves a quality thriller (with a healthy dose of science fiction).

4.0 out of 5 stars Great read! 12 Oct. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Unlike many books of its ilk, it maintained a level of interest all the way through rather than storing everything for the end. It also had a proper ending but left you wanting the next one. Great read!
