4.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating but not an easy read 12 Dec 2011
By MikeGee
This book is unique - a critical social history of the allotment. It is packed with interesting observations and commentry, but it is requires committment from the reader to get the most out of it - don't expect tips on growing vegetables!
