I read through this book during my pregnancy and it made complete sense to me - all about how to strengthen my muscles and which positions were most helpful for when the baby still needed to turn etc. I got 2 lessons with an Alexander teacher just to make sure I understood the stuff to do during labour and that was worth it. I couldn't afford a series but one to learn and another to check I had it right were plenty.
During actual delivery I softened my palate and kept the positions they recommended and it was so helpful - it allowed me to go right into the contractions without fighting them. I felt much more in control of the delivery and trusting of myself.
Can't recommend it highly enough.
