Useful 9 Mar 2011

I have not read any of the Aimee Leduc series of books written by Cara Black but after reading this companion I probably will. This companion, written by Phil Gaskill her copy editor, has a useful guide to the main characters (and a list of minor characters) in the books complete with photographs even her dog, a brief outline of the plots and zoomable maps of the locations in the books with brief details of the maps. Interestingly it also gives some cafe and shop recommendations in the various areas covered by the books. A well produced Kindle item which will be useful to keep alongside the actual book when reading it as they appear to have many characters so it is nice to know who is who if you forget. E.g. Sergei ; guy at fleabag with roaming hands.

I give this five stars for what it is 10 Mar 2011

If you at a better understanding of Aimee Leduc books, buy this. I got this while it was free, and found it a great tool to enhance the books in the series. It includes pictures and a short bio for each main character. You will also like the basic and more detailed maps of each location. The overview of each book in the series and list of non series characters and pertinent maps for the story will be a nice refresher or ... maybe an impetus to purchase the book. A glossary of French words used in the book is really helpful. Great if you want a better understanding if this series.

Essential Companion to the Aimee Leduc Series 24 Sep 2011

This book was recommended to me by a friend when I mentioned that I'd just picked up one of the books from the series. What's wonderful about this companion volume is that it's written by an copy editor/fan of the series and not the author, which says a lot about the devotion the series inspires. There's much essential information that will make newbies to the series feel right at home, especially if you just want to dive into the books, instead of starting with the first book and working your way forward.
