Must Read for Architects and CIOs

Jason's book is well worth the read. It's thought provoking and will challenge many belief systems you currently have about Enterprise IT. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the first 2 chapters ramble on a bit about complex systems, the points are very valid but it takes a little to long to get there. After those chapters however the book picks up the pace and gets at the heart of the current "revolution", as Jason calls it, that we are in the midst of experiencing. I firmly believe that architects and CIOs that read this and sort of grasp what Jason is saying about agility will be far better off than the vast majority. If you are trying to understand what REST is really about beyond the religious arguments, what true cloud computing is really about and how all of this is evolving at a very rapid pace then I highly recommend this book.
Predicting the future of IT has always been a difficult chore but I think Jason's view is pretty spot on for this point in time. Agility is the center of it all but it goes well beyond just speed.
