Obviously for the student or specialist rather than general reader, but Boyd Hilton has the expertise and judgment to make valuable points about his subjects, and never to be derivative or unperceptive. He seems to have extended his approach to Peel across into other
fields, and to good effect.
I found the book thought-provokiing. Recommended.
