I enjoyed watching the old tv series took me back to my young days and the lack of technical features did not matter at all..Superman jumping into the room form an open window was just right!

WHEN I WAS A YOUG BOY OF 10/12 I USE TO GO TO A SATURDAY CLUB WITH MY FRENDS AND SEE THIS SUPERMAN LASTING ABOUT 2O MINS THEN COME OUT OF THE CLUB
JUMP ON MY BIKE AND RIDE LIKE THE WIND THINKING I COULD FLY LIKE MY HERO
THEN I USE TO FALL OFF AND THEN LIMP FOR A WEEK WITH SORE BACK BUT IT WAS WORTH IT..

A bit dated, but they are from 1953. Brought back lots of memories. A must for every true Superman fan. George Reeves appears a little porky for a superhero but I sure did not notice that in the 50's. It is obvious that when he leaps through a window, as Superman, he is going to land on a mattress on the other side. The only real downside is that the first two series were in black and white, although the next, series three, was in colour. Kirk Alyn, who played Superman in the cinema serials was a more realistic Superhero than the slightly podgy Mr Reeves
