This is a good factual book which helps children (and adults!) understand what happens to plastic bottles when recyled. It is fairly lengthy, but it is detailed and with some good diagrams.

I bought this book for my 8 year old daughter when her school topic was the environment and being eco friendly. It explores the life cycle of a plastic bottle in a fun way. It would be suitable for children 5-10 years.

My 7 year old loved it! 14 Sep 2009

My son saw the book in the table when I received the shipment and he immediately picked it up and started reading this "adventure" and was impressed that this plastic bottle became a swearter. I will use it when teaching recycling in schools because it is an engaging story.

Adorable and Informative! 5 Mar 2010
By Aprille Gallard-perez - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
My four-year old son loves this book. Not only does it have cute pictures, but it is very informative. I learned a lot I did not know as an adult. My son asked to read it on 2 consecutive nights. He thought it was neat when we found out that his hand-tied synthetic fleece blankets were made from crude oil... as was the plastic bottle in the story. And, true to the theme, the book is made from 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper - yeah!

Recycling 8 July 2010

Wonderful book about where a plastic bottle comes from, but only tells the reader where it goes if you recycle it, not if it is thrown away. I think kids should see both sides.
