This is just how I remember it, they haven't 'digitally remastered' it or any of that, it's just as it was, straight to DVD which means it keeps that charm, keeps it the way you remember it.
Brought back a lot of memories of sitting down on I think it was a Sunday evening, the theme tune then into a classic brave horse and family take down the villain episode.
Wonderful if you're a horse lover, and great good old fashioned kids TV from when they knew how to make classics.

This really is a recommended purchase! Every episode from the original early 70s series of Black Beauty.. even now the theme music is so evocative it sends a shiver down my spine, reminds me of going to my nan's for tea then watching this before going home thinking of school the next day! Colours are slightly dull but that's to be expected I think from the film stock. Watch this and find out how good telly was back then!
