5.0 out of 5 stars very helpful 10 Aug 2014

As the father of two daughters there are many times I sit on the sofa, stare off into space and admit to myself, "Dude, you have no idea what you're doing!"

There are many parents like me and after exchanging war stories about raising daughters, we agree that whoever would offer some expert advise would be consider a godsend. This book is the answer to our prayers. Packed with excellent advise, perhaps the book's most hopeful message is that there will be conflicts and disagreements but they are not the end of the world. I highly recommend this book for parents of teenage girls.
5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Information! 11 Aug 2014

I have two kids. My son is a preteen but my daughter is several years from the age that I need to start panic mode in. This book is excellent and works with either adolescent girls or boys as well! After reading this, I can actually see many things that I deal with with my son, and eventually will be with my daughter as well when she is a little older. The advice is great! This book mentions some of the things that I myself am doing wrong with my son, and really woke me up to realize that some of the ways I have always treated him, as a child, need to be altered now that he is older. Parenting is the toughest job in the world, and reading advice from books like this is so beneficial to really point out things that we as parents need to pay attention to as our kids get older. I recommend this book to anyone who has an adolescent, whether they have a girl or a boy, this book is outstanding for both!
5.0 out of 5 stars Very Informative Guide 11 Aug 2014

This book is an excellent guide for parents with adolescent daughters. The author writes about the conflicts that sometime arise in young girls between their parents when communication is not a part of their lives. Their normal behavior changes and the teens want more independence. Parents have to listen to them and not be too controlling and also remind them of self-esteem by praising them. Communication is the key to having a good relationship with your teen. The author also has a list of helpful tips for being a better parent. She goes into many topics that are very helpful in raising a happy and independent teen but they also have to follow the rules. I recommend this book for anyone that has an adolescent teen to help you cope with the different behavior issues.
5.0 out of 5 stars but you know this can help a dad understand the teenage girl cycle so much better than trying to wing it 11 Aug 2014

Vanessa Pagan's Book is something I know all to well having raised 3 daughters. There is
so much basic daily life truths to this power packed little book. For women we kind of get it,
the harmones, the attitudes. The day your daughter is not needing MOM- to that level at least. Mother's letting go but not really
letting go. I feel sorry for dads, but you know this can help a dad understand the teenage girl cycle so much
better than trying to wing it! Great read I know the reader will find comfort and strength, new ways to cope, and
get to the other side. A laugh or two as well. Your daughter will end up your best friend. Loved it, get a copy

"The Adolescent Daughter Parenting Guide: Everything You Need To Know" by Vanessa Pagan is a great book for all parents of young girls. As most of us know teenage girls can be very difficult to understand and deal with.
I am a parent of a thirteen year old girl that is starting to change into a young adult. In reading this book I learned that I will have to pick my battles with her.
The author tells about the things that we should look for to identify if its harmful for our young adults. If you are looking to learn how to live through your childs teenage years this book has some great information for you.
