Log Book 5 Dec 2010
By AndyWB
Format:Hardcover
The Adlard Coles log book has become my default option as a cruising recreational sailor. It is the right size - neither too big, nor too small; however the paper quality varies - some books have glossier pages than others which means the ink takes longer to dry - allowing this left hander to smudge it. Less of a navigator than Robin Knox-Johnston I over write several of the columns to record items more relevent to me - typically water temprature, no of AIS Contacts, VHF channel, engine hour reading etc. Given a clean sheet I could design a log book for my own needs but it would follow this book in overall size and concept.

Beautiful 29 Dec 2011

Format:Hardcover
Purchased this as a birthday present for someone who's just started sailing. It's beautifully put together with enough space for everything you need to document and more. Would highly recommend!!

A "real" logbook 17 Oct 2008
By Spinnaker - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
I've been using this logbook for over 7 years and am on my 4th. It is a "real" logbook with places for all of the proper entries vs. the other ones found in marine stores with provisions for frilly entries (e.g., how much beer was on board). Being hard-bound it survives the seasonal punishment and when filled, it is nice enough to display in your bookcase with your other family treasures.
