I really really think this is a great Bible! My son has slight learning difficulties, and can't read lots at one time, but he loves this! And so do I. Every page is filled with great pictures. Because there are a lot of them none are neglected, they are all fantastic! It is truely fantastis! :oD

The Action Bible is amazing - very appealing to my 9 year-old son who loves graphic novels. He has been totally immersed in it and wants to read it all the time. Brilliant illustrations and really gripping stories mean that he has now read the whole Bible with huge enthusiasm and will do so many times over. I thoroughly recommend this book.

I have been struggling with reading the Bible for a while, and some of the books in the Old Testament seemed a bit boring to me, so I decided to check Amazon, to see if I could get a version of the Bible, that wasn't stuffy and hard to understand. Viola, imagine my surprise when I realized that the Bible has a comic version. As soon as I got the Action Bible, which arrived on time, and in very good condition, I was so engrossed in how the stories were brought to life, with the very artistic drawings. I am a woman in my 20s, and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed reading the Bible, and haven't been able to put it down!! This Bible appeals to all age groups in my opinion, not only young boys, but girls and adults too. And I have been able to combine reading the Action Bible with my KJV Bible. I am going to buy the New Testament version too.

I wanted to read the bible with alot less text. This Graphic novel tome is phenomenal. The depictions must have taken the artist ages as they are superior quality... i rarely say that. I love the realism of the water waves parted by moses.

I love the book. It is a tad heavy but that is because it is also fairly large (larger than I expected.)

There is another comic style bible out there by the same company called 'The Picture Bible' which is not always accurate to scripture like the section on the destruction Sodom. But this one is much more accurate. However, I do prefer the drawings from the Picture Bible. But if I have the choice and I want more accuracy, I would buy this one; the Action Bible.

This Bible has bought the Bible stories to life for my 6 year old son. We have the CD audio set to go with it and he happily reads it every day. The drawings are brilliantly done and in comic style. So good is all I can say - I recommend it to anyone with a young son in particular!

Preteens in particular will find The Action Bible an enjoyable and stimulating read. Seeing a story in a new light, or how 'it might have looked', can be powerful imaginative tools. These things can be beneficial or dangerous. As parents, we need to know our children and discern whether books such as The Action Bible will be a hindrance or a help. And as adults, we often forget we need to do the same for everything we take in!

We must always be sure we are falling more in love with the real Christ and not a substitute. Even Aslan in Lewis' Narnia series is best seen as a guide to Christ or a shadow of Him. Children may love Aslan's character and thereby desire Christ more. But Aslan is not Christ. Nothing but His Word can capture Him fully.

With all that said, The Action Bible is a wonderful book and I highly recommend it! It is faithful and lively. People of all ages will read this and develop a hunger to now turn to the Bible and find therein a deeper appreciation for our God and His work for us in Christ.
