I had nasty skin issues on my neck and shoulders for nearly two years and the doctors were at a loss as to what to do - aside from the usual steroids. 6 weeks after reading this book and changing my diet I now have proper skin back and no more sleepless nights! This book helped me understand some of the causes on my problems and although the diet is not easy to stick to it's worth it as my skin is so much better. If you suffer from skin rashes which seem to come and go and may be related to food give this book a go.

This book dispels many popular myths. In particular those laid down by the food industry. I have studied this subject for years and often by a new book to catch up on different ideas. You are left in no doubt as to how the food we eat these days is depleted and also by buying so-called 'healthy' eating foods we inevitably acidify our already acidic bodies. It also lays out clearly the fine balance particularly with fruits, between those that are acid and those that are not. Nicely and simply written, a must-have for those intent on cleaning up their act!

I found this book to be very convincing and fairly easy to follow. It was not demanding a total change of lifestyle like some books on pH dieting.
