Product Description

From the Author

Knowing accounting means knowing the language of business
We are soooo happy to have written such a fun and interesting book on such a dry subject like accounting. The information you learn from reading the book will be retained and be able to be used immediately because it is folded into a story about a kid, a lemonade stand and a summertime journey into becoming an entrapreneur. E mail me after you read it and let me know how you like it.

And, to Amazon.com, thank you for the opporutnity to write something about The Accounting Game.

The book is excelent!
It brings the basic concepts of accounting in a form of a game. It presents the subject in a form that creates a specific learning experience, what the authors call "accelerative learning". It basically consists of using the critical thinking skills and ludicrous approaches to accounting.
The book is full of exercises and the basic accounting is so related to real world activities that it's impossible not to get the subject clearly.
At the end of the book you would have learned how the Balance Sheet, the Income Statement and the Cast Statements are structured, their purposes and how they are related to each other. You would have learned how to separate Cost of Goods from Expenses. You would also have understood concepts such as Accrual versus Cash method, service company accounting, Cash versus Earnings, difference between Profit and Cash.
At the end of the book the authors also present a chapter explaing how to use accounting for analyzing a company health and growth.
The best of all: you won't feel any pain. Actually, it may sound weird but it's true, you're going to enjoy and have fun learning accounting... believe me.
Cheers!

I read this book at the insistance of my boss. I thought that it would be a childish simplistic explanation of accounting, but was pleasantly surprised. I only wish I had an entertaining accounting book in college. It may have kept me awake in all those endless accounting classes. After reading it, I actually wanted to help my son start an lemonade stand.

this book is really good if you are a student like myself, it tells you everything you want to know about accounting at a beginners concept. I recommend this book to anyone who doesn't have the slightest idea of accounting.
