This is book serves as an excellent A-Z of the Atari 2600 and it games.

In particular I like the way the game reviews are written in great detail, with humour, often giving good technical reference to the hardware capabilites of the machine and programming techniques in use at the time.

Many of the game reviews, as well as giving a detailed insight into gameplay, also give detials of the game's 8-bit counterparts/remakes and sequels, where they exist.

Really is an excellent book.

Love this book, loads of "aaaaahhhh...i had that" moments. Nothing that will change the world, a load of front covers and an overview of the game, but a lovely fuzzy feeling when you fall upon a little jewel that was a childhood favourite game (as i did here many times). The book also identifies some of the key players of this time, and those we have for filling our childhood with increased colour and fun while giving a great distraction from homework and girls ;0) !!

Enjoyed reading it......over a bit quick.
More games per letter in the A to Z would improve the value for money.

Enjoying the book, smaller than I thought though, not much bigger than A5. 1 star off for wrong chapter page numbers.

Not a bad read but I just can't agree with some of his opinions on the games he played, especially Kaboom!
