I noticed this amazing album on a listening post in HMV!Struck by the rather swish cd cover,I decided to give it a spin.And how glad I did!All 12 twelve tracks simply blew me away.It was like my ears were suddenly transported to an orgy of audio bliss!I was immediately blown away by the quality and depth of each track.Beautifully arranged,Quantic have captured the true essence of modern lounge/mood music cleverly fusing elements of the 60s/70s with modern beats and spine tingling sonics.Almost akin to the great Dj Shadow in places,Quantic have layed down grooves sprinkled with hip hop and jazz which in turn paint mind blowing images of ultra cool retro cinematic movies. Moody, groovy, slick and delicious-buy this and let Quantic take you into the world of the 5th Exotic-I have got my ticket booked. I urge you to do the same!

Ignore the negative reviews. I bought this album a few years ago. Then i bought another one to keep with me in the car. Then i downloaded it to my iPod and iPhone just in case. It has become with a few other artists inc. Autechre, The Cinematic Orchestra, Kinobe, Bonobo, one of my favourite albums.

Bit dark for me...
Sorry folks but this was not quite as upbeat as expecting. If you are looking for something a little more latino and jazzy, then Quantic's Apricot Morning is more your thing. Read more

Beats for all the family
This album offers a real range of breaks, from jazz soaked dancefloor beats to cinematic hip hop. I've played it at home as much as out.
