Love this book. Just started macrobiotics and it has helped my health immeasurably. The constant stomach pain I had is gone and I have more energy. For the most part, this book has all normal ingredients of things you can get at the local grocery store. There are recipes that call for things I never heard of - like umeboshi paste and kudzu - but the amounts of these ingredients are minimal and I make the recipes without that stuff and it comes out just fine. It's on my kindle, so I just look at the book when I'm shopping.
