Having done an MBA, albeit some time ago, I had an idea what to expect in this book. Nevertheless the 30 Day MBA is a great refresher and would also work as a primer for prospective students as well as a reasonable substitute for anyone who thinks an MBA is a bit overkill. The book also covers topics such as Business History and Ethics that were not much in vogue when I did my degree, as well as all the usual subjects.
I particularly liked the web links to lectures by faculty at Harvard, Wharton et al. Fantastic to see the great Michael Porter at work! Also the sneaky tips on how to get onto the alumni of some of the world's greatest business schools for a few hundred pounds and so plug into a great job network will be useful for anyone with sufficient nerve.
All in all working through this book and tests should let you sound like an MBA and probably even pass for one!!
So who should read this - anyone who is curious about what actually is taught in the top businesses schools and wants to understand why that is worth knowing.

I successfully run a group of businesses but, with no formal 'education' in business management, I've always had that niggling feeling that I'm missing some key concepts and ideas that could really help me.

The book is simple and concise and covers everything in exactly the level of detail I need, to fill in those missing gaps. It offers a clear overview of each key concept and compliments the text with a number of very useful web links to further online resources - should you wish to explore a certain subject in more detail.

As I write this review, I've only just completed chapter two of the book! In these two chapters alone, the book has paid for itself #and then some# and given me enough information to take away and reassess my businesses with.

For someone with no economic/business experience, I thought he went into the perfect level of detail which I really appreciated. He didn't assume the reader has any knowledge in the areas covered, and hence was usually excellent about giving right amount of fundamental information. I also found that in general it went into an excellent amount of detail for topics I was curious about and wanted to learn more of. Moreover, there were adequate suggestions and website suggestions for further exploration. Highly recommend it and was an enjoyable read as well.
My only complaint was the significance of the boxed case studies wasn't always apparent. Could use some more integration.
