Great way for kids to learn about BB! 13 July 2011
By Elaine Williams - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a great informational text for kids to learn about BB. I gifted this to a 10 year old and she loved it. She started posing... "did you know" questions to me to test my knowledge of the sport!! (yikes)... The text is well written, engaging and a great way for kids to learn using a reference/ informational text.

Not much about the sport, but about the millionaire players 15 April 2011
By Gadgester - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Very disappointed in this book. The bulk of it is devoted to "all-time greats," "today's greats," etc. So instead of teaching our kids (many of whom are obese and are destined to spend much of their adult lives in bars like their parents) how to understand and play basketball and help them become more active, this book brainwashes them about the millionaires, the super-stars, as if idol worship is something that deserves promoting. This book seems to encourage our kids to grow up to be couch potatos and gamblers and people who talk about super-stars instead of participating in the sport themselves.
