Read like it was a first draft... 14 Feb 2012
By Gina Hurteau-Jackson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I got this book free, so I won't complain. It read like a first draft of a first novel. There wasn't a lot that kept me in suspense, nor could I imagine it keeping an adolescent in suspense either... it was a vey quick read, which was a blessing. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone under 16 due to sex and I don't believe anyone over 16 that isn't related to the author would like it...

Not so happy reading :[

A great witchy story! 28 July 2011
By Amy Lunderman - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
The 13th Witch starts off with a catchy paragraph in the beginning, that kind of hints at a possible outcome, that drew me in right away. The story centers around Lucy and when she comes home for the summer during college break. She is the narrator and with a quick wit the plot gets explained pretty fast; especially when her adoptive parents tell her on her birthday that she is a witch!

I feel like I could relate to Lucy, even from the first sentence. She is this 'normal' girl content with living in her simple life, and when the unthinkable happens, her life goes into a tale-spin. Most books set up plot and try to add some mystery to it and this one definitely does. Everything picks up pace, when Lucy meets a handsome stranger with a secretive past, named Connor. The pace turns into a roller coaster of events that leads to an incredible ending, that will most definitely make you want more. I know I do!

All in all, this is a really great read. There is action, intrigue, mystery, romance, and enough heart to make you fall for all the characters. I whole heartily recommend this one for a read or two!

Great little read 8 July 2011
By Me - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I loved this book. It was sweet in places, but it also had a feeling of urgency. I liked that Lucy was not perfect and that she dealt with the problems put in front of her like a grown up. Finding out you're adopted and then the need to make the choice as to be good or bad. It's a good book and keeps you interested from start to finish.
