Disappointing 2 Feb 2009
By Chris - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I think this book was most disappointing. There is very little focus on fundamentals, and most text seems to be cut and pasted from newspapers during last year without much thought. Also, it is not updated at all about the major events of the financial crisis towards the end of 2008, yet it claims to be updated for 2009.

not really impressed 5 Sep 2009
By Edyson Dy - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
After wallstreet hit its lowest point somewhere in March 2009, there were dramatic increases in some of the stocks, and quite a number of which have risen more than double. Apparently, some of the stocks chosen in this book have sluggish increase as compared to the average surge of those stocks that has risen. Nevertheless this book provides us with fundamental information and profile as to how the stocks were rated. I was disappointed not to find Apple APPL which I have invested and was very much satisfied with the stock performance.

Contains Some Quality Companies 12 Aug 2009
By Mariusz Skonieczny - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I do agree with some of the reviews that some of the information is outdated, but I have to say that Mr. Slatter lists stocks of some very good companies. The problem is that information changes so fast that by the time a new edition of this book is printed, it is outdated. Readers could benefit if Mr. Slatter had updated information available on his website. I've used stock ideas from his book that I made money on.
