I don't think that a poor DVD release with no extras worth speaking of will do them any good in the long run. People will become tentatively with preorders and wondering why on earth the would pay the full price for half the content.
I am very pleased with most releases of old Doctor Who serials mostly *because* of the extras. That's why am utterly disappointed with this one.
They wanted the two recovered stories out on DVD as soon as possible, hence the lack of extras, the lack of an animated missing episode in "Web of Fear" and the DVD covers which make them look like bootlegs. It just seems like a blatant pursuit for money rather than quality, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if we see "special editions" of the two stories before very much longer.
