Other titles include large touchy-feely books on topics ranging from princesses to farms; cloth books with touchy-feely patches and flaps; a wide range of step-by-step art and activity books, including 'How to knit'; music books with CDs for babies and toddlers; 'Dolly Dressing' sticker books; Hide-and-Seek lift-the-flap books; bath books; cookery books and snap cards!

She also edits books written by her team of in-house writer/editors, which include step-by-step activity books and a series of young non-fiction, aimed at beginner readers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another in the series with a seasonal theme! 30 Nov 2009
Format:Board book
Festive and durable cover, opens to 10 sturdy board pages in the popular 2-page spread, with a clear, easy-to-follow sentence on each, although the word,'velvety' has proved to be a little challenging, at times, in my experience!
This cute book is further enhanced by those 'touchy-feely' bits and, naturally, the repeat on the words:-

'That's not my reindeer'.

Colourfully illustrated throughout, by Rachel Wells, this book is further enhanced by a silvery touch!

Example of text:-

'That's not my reindeer.
Its body is too furry.

That's not my reindeer.
Its neck is too fuzzy.

That's not my reindeer.....
Its.........'

until the right one is eventually found!

From an adult point of view, I agree that the textured materials are maybe less innovative and the pictures less detailed, but this title remains a very popular choice for the tiniest tots, in local library group meetings.
There is still the opportunity to 'discuss' the other changes in the reindeer, count the trees and bells, look out for 'the regular' - the little white mouse (suitably attired) .......oh......and Robin......puts in an appearance, in this title, too!

Other festive titles in this series:-

That's not my Santa

and my overall favourite:-

That's not my snowman

All of these books are great, the pages are easy for little ones to turn and they are interested in the bright colours and 'feely' parts of the book. Highly recommended for some seasonal cheer to bedtime stories!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not one of their best 12 Jan 2009
Format:Board book|Verified Purchase
All a bit one dimensional this one - all the reindeer are basically too furry. Along the lines of ...One's tail is too fuzzy (read as furry) another's neck is too hairy (read as furry etc.) etc. Not that christmassy either :-(

My fav is the dragon one! Maybe not for christmas though...
