Lydon & McGeoch - pure genius. The best musician Lydon ever played with creates a sublime background for John's ever more desperate vocals. Simply a thing of great beauty and, whilst not quite matching the heights of Metal Box, this is worth five stars (Metal Box is worth six, at least).

Format:Audio CD
After the experimental and improvisational albums of their early career 1992's "That What Is Not" could be considered a much more conventional outing. However, this series of heavy metal songs is far from ever being staid or boring! Guitarist John McGeoch's playing is second to none throughout, (listen to his glorious solos on "Emperor" and "Luck's Up" in particular.) Lydon's searing vocals are, as always, delivered with his usual lyrical inventiveness, making an album of thunderous power and intensity.

A purely brilliant album from start to finish. If you call yourself a Punk and you don't own this album you're really just a boring sad hippie.
