A tale to which many women of a certain age (and possibly men too )will find they can relate. It follows the story of Eve, a middle-aged woman who finds all her cosy and familiar relationships (family, friends and her husband from whom she's separated) in a state of flux. It's a novel about change and transformation, and personal growth at a time of life when many of us don't expect it. Some of the changes in Eve's life are painful, some challenging, but the reader is left really caring about what will happen to the heroine and her nearest and dearest. This is not a chocolate-box, Mills and Boon romance novel, but a well-written, good comfortable read which is worth persevering with even if it's slow to grab you right at the start of the book - the characters really will grow on you!
