A first rate collection from one of the finest film and light music composers. Ron Goodwin could certainly write a good tune and had a top class orchestra to play them. A sheer delight from start to finish.

I've waited years for this one, Ron Goodman is the master of British Movie Themes, just look at the titles above to see some all time favourites from 633 Squadron, to Colonel Bogey, The Trap, now used as the Theme to the London Marathon TV transmissions. If you like John Williams and his music from Superman and Indianna Jones, then you'll like this.
Just bring out something similar by Mike Post (Rockford Files, LA Law, A Team, Magnum etc), and I'll be happy, Record companies take note, we dont like these copies you keep releasing, give us the originals

I was nearly put off this DOUBLE CD by the cheesy cover picture; but it's a fantastic collection or Ron Goodwin's early work (CD1: the singles) plus a fine selection of his film work including the "concert versions" from "Monte Carlo or Bust" and "Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines" .... it's a shame that the original soundtracks aren't available for those last two, incuding the vocal versions of the themes.
An extremely good value double CD - I can't recommend it highly enough.
