The Game - Book #2 Coming Winter 2014...

**Mature Content Warning** Recommended for ages 17+ due to language and sexual content.

This book is about That Girl...

The girl who leaves behind her past, including her name; runs away from home and vows to never let another identity claim her again. Broken dreams, an abusive stepdad and ugly memories from her childhood are the only shattered remnants that have the ability to haunt her.

With no money, an endless blank slate laying ahead of her and no hopes for the future, she sets out to survive at minimum wage jobs, moving from town to town, changing her name with each move and never allowing glimpses of her past to threaten her empty future.

Average in every way, from her looks to her personality and even her style, there is not much to remember about her. When she abandons one town for another, she leaves behind her fake identity in search of the next one, while leaving people asking themselves, "I wonder what ever became of that girl."

That was her reality until Lincoln Wilks.

The number one defensive player in Denver who finally names...That Girl.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read 12 Aug 2014
By Danny J
Format:Kindle Edition
The story centres around "That Girl" and Lincoln Wilks. "That Girl" runs away from home to escape an abusive step-dad and mum leaving behind her name and everything in her past. While running towards a new future, she encounters Lincoln Wilks, the number one defensive football player in Fort Collins, who himself has some issues with his parents and just wants to be loved.

"That Girl" has an horrendous childhood and you can't help but feel sorry for her but despite her start in life she's strong enough to run away alone to find a new life for herself. Lincoln is a great guy and I loved how he accepted "That Girl" for whom she was slowly building her trust. I thought these were great lead characters and I was routing for them all the way through.

I thought this was a great story and it was wonderfully written by Heidi. It was heart wrenching and uplifting at all the same time. I was sucked into this story right from the start and I wasn't released until the end. I devoured this book in one sitting.

If I had any criticism at all it would be that I felt the ending was a little rushed. I don't want to say too much as I don't want to give away any spoilers but I came away feeling that I needed a little more from those final chapters and it is for that small reason I have given this a great 4.5 stars as opposed to 5.

5 pizza stars!
This is probably one of the best book I've read to date.
A young girl with a dark past runs away from home on her eighteenth birthday to escape her family and the messed up life she is living. She goes from small town to small town never settling down and keeping to herself till one day when she meets him, Lincoln who will change her life forever. This is a story about growing up and living on your own and getting by how you can with the little means you have and survive. It shows you that love, hope and faith can get you to trust someone and give yourself to them.
This is such a beautiful heartwrenching story. At firsh I was wondering how it was going to go and how it would end but as it went it was just amazing to see her grow into a young woman able to enjoy herself and live her life how she is supposed to be.
The way its written is just amazing she captures the emotions from all the characters which only makes it more real. The author did an amazing job with this story like all her other stories.
I would totally recommand this story to anyone. It was so amazing. Its the kind of story that stays with you for a very long time. And i hope we get a second book on a sequel or following Jewel and Tiny's story!

5.0 out of 5 stars 5+++ Awesome Stars!! 12 Aug 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
5++++ stars

This story starts off with two friends wanting to run away and leave their live's behind as soon as they turn eighteen but That girl's best friend falls pregnant and can't no longer leave, that girl is desperate to leave especially after all the abuse she has gone through by her mother and mothers boyfriends. So she leaves by herself with nowhere to go and little money.

"You'll never be happy. You were born to hurt, Get used to it"

With every place That Girl ends up she changes her identity, She can't stay in one place very long scared her mother will find her, she's living in the shadows,keeping everyone at arms length so nobody finds out what she's hiding or who she really is. She finally finds somewhere she likes.

While at work at the coffee hut, a group of boys pull up. Lincoln the driver instantly takes a liking to her. That girl tries to hold her feeling's back, she knows she can't get involved, she'll only hurt him so she tries to push him away but Lincoln ain't giving up that easy. Does Lincoln get That girl to open up and drop her guard?

I used the quote "That Girl" rather than revealing her actual name and spoiling the story!!

My heart was in my throat, wasn't expecting that to happen.

I want to say I love this book but I more than love it, story was easy to follow, Characters was lovable and I loved watching the relationship blossom between That Girl and Lincoln.

Amazing story! one of the best books I have read this year! made me cry, laugh and swoon!
That girl had the most horrible start to life and decided to walk away and start again as nobody! changing her name and city every couple of months until she meets Lincoln - ohh what a babe he is, sooo in love! Between his evil family and that girls troubled past its tough going for the cute twosome and a couple of heart in the mouth moments! I adored this book and has been added to my top 10, can't wait for more from Bellus, amazingly written xxxxx recommend you read this book, it has everythingxxxx

4.0 out of 5 stars That girl! 21 Sep 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Great read, but a rushed ending, that was my only downside to this book, I devoured it in one morning, so that shows the general story line was gripping enough, the start was a little slow and some of that was a little bit irrelevant, I'd of rather had more details at the end, I got about 20% into the book before the second main character was introduced, he was everything you want and more, I'm not giving any names away, you'll understand the relevance once you start reading the book.
