I have over the years read many books relating to the Battle of Britain, and I found this book amongst the best and hard to put down. It is worth purchasing alone for its account titled 'The Man from Woolwich Arsenal'.Some of the accounts have been covered in other publications before, but the author goes that extra mile in his extensive research and adding in depth details about these brave pilots,.. who often paid the ultimate price for our freedom. A great-great book.

I bought this book last week and read it quite quickly. For anyone interested in the RAF/Battle of britain this is a must read. The stories are short, true and very interesting. I have many, many books on the Battle of Britain and the Men/Women who took part and I still found useful bits of information that I didn't know. A very good Book!

Dave sheppard.
