I bought this book on a whim, not quite knowing whether it would be another Ben Schott or not (i.e. rather dry and high brow). It is not. It is far better and great to dip in and out of. Even my kids (twins aged 9) have grabbed it for a 'look', which ended up lasting half an hour (which, if you knew my kids, is a pretty amazing length of time for them to be kept amused by one thing!).

I have now bought three more copies as Xmas presents since, to be honest, it looks much more generous a present (given it is a hardback book) than it actually costs.

I am hooked - can't wait until 'That Book 2'!

I can sit and read this for hours, its all what I like. Useful (or useless depending on how you look at it) bits of information that you can wow your friends with at the pub. God knows where they get it all from.

Amazing!

Perfect for the loo 17 Dec 2003
Format:Hardcover
Ben Schott's book was a great idea but this book is better. Not only does Mitchell Symons *really* know his trivia, he injects a warmth and humour to this book which is lacking in the competition. The glossy cover makes it more suitable for the loo, too!
