Product Description

The Times Educational Supplement - January 23, 2004

".....you can imagine giving this book to a teenager and not being despised for it."

Book Description

This pocket book is the same size as a phrase book you might take on foreign travels. As with a phrase book, it is not intended to give you all the answers, but to help you out when you are struggling in unfamiliar surroundings. Divided into two parts, That Attitude Book first explores why negativity is prevalent in western society, before examining what it takes to remain positive despite it all. The use of quotations and clip art images make each page easy to dip back into for quick recall.

4.0 out of 5 stars A whole lot of insight in a little bitty book, 26 Jan 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: That Attitude Book (Paperback)
This book is a great pocketbook of personal insight at your fingertips. Straight-forward, entertaining and full of good advice, it's an easy read that makes you think.
I especially like that you can read it either cover-to-cover in a soul-searching afternoon or just flip randomly to any page and get a quick dose of insight into what might be holding you back. Great gift idea for teenagers making the difficult transition into adulthood and looking for guidance while trying to find out who they are. I highly recommend it as a book to give to a friend who may be having a down time and needs some encouragement to pick themselves up.
Also a perfect book to read between stops on the tube!

4.0 out of 5 stars A genuinely helpful self-help book, 27 Jan 2004
By
Miss Claire M Evans (Nottingham, Nottinghamshire United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This review is from: That Attitude Book (Paperback)
While most self-help books claim to revamp your life in ten seconds and don't, Graham Pepper's book is honest, genuine and practical without suggesting that it's bigger than it really is. The information is real and put into a form that is understandable with examples and exercises that work. However, what makes it a must have book are the quotes appearing here and there from John Wayne, George Washington , even Doctor Who! The words of wisdom are thoroughly memorable and, like the book, should never be overlooked.
