Product Description

Book Description

The new bestseller from the author of Total Forgiveness and The Anointing.

Product Description

"What God does for us every day is a thousand times more than what the best of friends and neighbours do for us. "The question is: are we thankful? That is what this book is about. It is all about learning gratitude and remembering to thank God for everything: the big things, the little things. God wants to be appreciated. i want his book to help show how to be thankful." A completely new and original book from R T Kendall, the first he has written since leaving Westminster Chapel. This book is R T at his very best - popular theology and guidance for life in the style that has made him one of the most popular Christian writers in the UK today.

As with Total Forgiveness, Thanking God explores and unpacks one of the simple but absolutely crucial aspects of the Christian life. R T examines the biblical teaching on gratitude and relates it to our everyday experience in a fashion both enlightening and challenging.

This book really renewed my enthusiasm for thankfulness. Easy to read and understand, with such great truth within it. I would recommend to anyone. The way to gaining happiness is not bemoaning what is lacking, but recognising the great things we have.
This book helpfully points us in the right direction :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Why we can thank God for everything 14 Jan 2008
RT Kendall has the knack of hitting on the important topics with which Christians today need to be challenged in their Christian walk. This book reminds us why we should thank God even when it's hard to show gratitude, and how we should show our thanks to God (e.g. by spending time with Him in prayer, by discovering what pleases Him, by attending public worship and, supremely, by faithfully partaking of Holy Communion). Exercising our faith in God is another way of expressing our thanks and RT Kendall draws our attention to the fact that exercising our faith can only be done in this life on earth because, when we see God in heaven, we will no longer need faith - we will see everything clearly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every believer should read it!! 5 Jun 2014

This book is so needed and all believers should read. We get so much in battles over doctrine because of the denominations we have been taught by and some times we don't look at the Word to see what God has said. This man does and has the experience also.
