Product Description

Product Description

A guide to birdwatching in the Thames Valley and all the counties crossed by the Chilterns (Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire). This region includes some of England's best inland reservoirs and other wetland sites, as well as extensive areas of ancient woodland, and traditionally-managed farmland. The volume contains site accounts, plans, maps, lists of birds in the region and advice on planning birdwatching trips.

About the Author

The authors are both keen birders who have long been active in this region. Brian Clews has published a monthly bulletin on the birds of Berkshire for the last 15 years. Paul Trodd is based in Bedfordshire.

5.0 out of 5 stars So many new places to see birds, 9 Jun 2002
By A Customer
A fantastic book with a wealth of information for the birder.
I live in Bedfordshire, and have found several places I didn't even know existed before I got this book. Since reading this book my species list has taken a nice little jump up.
