Texts for Preaching provides interpretation that gives a vivid pictire of the thinking of the listemers in the time and place of Jesus and relates it to the world of the 21st century. However comments that refer to today's world are not so specific as to become outdated in a short time but promote thought of relevance to events taking place here and now.
The text is easy reading while providing a stimulating depth of understanding. It does not give the reader a ready made sermon but provides the preacher with the background that assures confident preaching.
The price of the CD is about one third of the cost of three separate printed volumes.

I am delighted with this CD. It is easy to use. I have been able to look up readings under both the years readings and titles of books with verse and numbers. For me it is a useful tool.

I great value for money alternative to the hard back paper based volumes. Thoughtful scholarly yet accessible commentary with relevant application. Highly recommended.
