Every doctor and patient should read this book. It is loaded with important information about health management issues that span decades of research. It deserves 10 Stars and is worth every penny of the nearly $200.00 I paid.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great resource 29 July 2013
By D Caban - Published on
I recently bought this book for reference and use in my Functional Nutrition cub at school and it has nothing but been amazing as a resource. The contents are very comprehensive and in order. Im amazed at how different this book from all the other medicine books and excited about what is possible to do with its contents. I bought two different textbook which i find amazing on this topic, but this one seems to have the edge between both as it has put together a lot of great FM practitioner talking about their ares of expertise in a very organized and sequential manner.

I bought the book for a seminar I'm taking, so of course the topic is interesting to me. Written for those with a medical/health care background, it is interesting and easy to follow. Each chapter is one or more essays or research papers explaining the topic. I'm very much enjoying it, and it's making me look forward to my upcoming class even more!
1.0 out of 5 stars Manifesto yes, textbook....not quite. 5 Sep 2014

So far it feels like the authors were smoking weed and got too impressed with their own thoughts. They just keep going on and on about how we need to think differently. I just wanted a text book. Nothing that I have looked up yet is in there. Nothing useful on adrenal "fatigue", nothing useful on elevated pth. So far, it has been more of a manifesto than a text book.

Sometimes I'm not sure if all these isn't also a collection of well written and adorned lies, just to serve as a counterpart to the other group of lies that is our modern medicine where; its practice is dictated by drug manufacturers and others big money makers/disease inducers who fabricate arbitrary guidelines many times.
I think common sense was deprived and expelled out from our lives
I was charged $200 for this 2010 book (bought it in 2013) PLUS $3 in shipping and handling. I cant stand from this fellows that fee charged in shipping and handling for that amount I paid
I didn't return it because I want to give it as a gift to a friend who is more involved on this than me, but it is clear that this fellows at functional medicine wont pardon you even a penny
