I bought this book last week and I am very happy with it. I'm doing the OCR level 2 certificate in Text production and this book will help me a lot as the tutor just leaves us to get on with the sample exercises which isn't very helpful if you haven't done this type of course before.
This book has loads of examples of letters, memo's, reports and file-notes. It also covers audio transcription which is something that is definately needed if you have decided to do this as part of your modules. The files are available from the website and you can download them onto your pc which is really handy if you want to practice audio at home.
It goes through the learning out-comes and gives the basics on abbreviations, marking criteria and assessment criteria. The annoying thing is there are two parts to this book. Book 2 of 2 contains medical word processing, medical audio-transcription and legal audio-transcription. This book probably won't be released until next year. It would have been great to have it all in the same book!!

I already have OCR Level 2 in TP and WP but I bought this book to brush up for an up and coming competency test. This book is extremely easy to follow and it explains clearly how to set out letters, press releases, file notes, memos, reports and articles.
I have just finished the text production section and will start on the word processing section soon. I highly recommend this book to beginners. There are plenty of practice exercises to build confidence in all areas. Accessing the templates from the website is very straightforward and I had no problems downloading them.
I will definitely purchase the Level 3 book when I move on!!!

Very good textbook.There are working examples, which enables you to teach yourself. I think that the new textbooks from Heder education are wonderful.I have used all the textbooks for each Level.To me it helped. I hope to you to. Good luck.
