Poverty Row Pictures presents "TEXAS MARSHAL" (13 July 1941) (59 mins/B&W) (Fully Restored/Dolby Digitally Remastered) --- The American actor Tim McCoy in real life was a sharpshooter and famed for his fast draw --- The Native Americans had no better ambassador than Tim McCoy, a former Indian language translator in real life --- Tim McCoy spoke passionately about this country's longtime abuse of its native population by breaking treaty after treaty --- McCoy an expert on the Old West, also an authority on Indian folklore could converse in Indian sign language --- McCoy was inducted into the "Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum" in 1973, also inducted into "The Cowboy Hall of Fame" in 1974.

The story line and plot, our hero 'Steely Eyed' Tim McCoy is in another poverty row quickie western --- Around the town of Cactus Creek a rancher has been killed and others are missing and Marshal Tim 'Trigger' Rand (Tim McCoy) has been called in --- Ernest Moore (Karl Hackett) has found tin ore and now holds many of the rancher's deeds --- Comparing bullets leads Tim to Moore's henchman and then opening Moore's safe he finds the ore samples and the deeds --- But his plan to bring in Moore and his men using Art Davis' short wave radio is thwarted when Art is captured --- Art Davis and His Rhythm Riders, relevant to the action, help liven things up --- So do presences of familiar faces and assured talents of Karl Hackett and Charlie King doing the villainy, Dave O'Brien in a light supporting role and Ed Peil Sr. as principal victim of the villainy.
