Texas war of independence 1835 - 1836 25 Mar. 2006
By G. J. Williams - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Book gave an excellent overview of probably a little known war. It was in a logical order and did not over complicate matters.
Huffines book on alamo is great 15 Oct. 2013
By docmcbride - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Another reviewer gave this book one star and commented that Huffines book on the Alamo was bad. On the contrary, BLOOD OF NOBLE MEN may be the BEST Alamo book, and certainly is in the top several. This one has breadth where BLOOD has depth, but if you want a good overview of the war this is a very useful volume.

This history text is a cut above the rest. The history is written in such a way as to be interesting and palatable to the reader. I learned a lot from this book and added it to my reference collection. Strongly recommended.
