Book Description

Poker is a fun game to play, but it's a lot more fun if you are WINNING!

To become a consistent winner though, you must know the fundamentals, inside and out almost unconsciously. A big part of those fundamentals is accurately knowing the winning chances of various hand match ups. It does you no good if you put your opponent on a certain hand, end up BEING RIGHT, but don't know what the actual odds are for each of you to win from that point on! Many novice players find themselves in that situation all the time.

This is a great application that you can use to become more familiar with winning percentage for all sort of starting hands and all sorts of community cards.

There are 750 hands played out through the turn. Each hand gives you the opportunity to assess the chances of two players at three distinct junctures: (1) knowing their starting cards before the flop is revealed; (2) Once again after the initial flop and; (3) one final time with the 4th card (or turn) revealed before the last community card is dealt.

The hands are all arranged in random order to simulate true play more accurately than going through an entire related class of scenarios.

I routinely go through these exercises all the time still today, many years after I started playing the game profitably. It's a great way to give your mind a nice "tune up."

I hope you enjoy the application as much as I do. I wish you much success at the tables!

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not waste your time on this... 14 Dec. 2013

Format:Kindle Edition
I ordered this book and feel very foolish. There are no directions or any information that can be used to figure out the hands. It appears to me that he used the pockercruncher app to generate 750 random hands and then just copied the odds. Each step in evaluating a hand says: OK what are odds of this hand pre-flop, now the flop gives us this, what are the odds of winning, now the turn don't give up. Now what are the odds on the flop. That's it!
1.0 out of 5 stars what is this 19 Sept. 2013

apparently the point is to guess what percentage a certain hand will beat another hand. based on what technique. just cards. not for beginners or maybe anyone. not worth .99.
2.0 out of 5 stars crude and useless 26 Jun. 2013

I liked the idea of hold'em flashcards, but this is a crude and hard to use product. It was not even clear how this was supposed to work. I found that after trying many times to use it that is just wasn't worth the effort.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good practice for hot and cold hand values 28 Nov. 2012

Good for beggining and serious players alike. Challenge yourself a few minutes each day to estimate hot and cold hand values pre-flop, flop and turn.
1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the 99 cents 27 Aug. 2012

This is the worse waste of money I've encountered on Amazon. The entire book is nothing but 750 pages of two sets of hold cards and the odds of one beating the other. Ask yourself, how often are you going to compare two sets of hold cards?
