5.0 out of 5 stars Texas Hold'em for Dummies. 14 Oct 2011
Format:Paperback
This is a very good book on learning the very basics of Texas Hold'em. It goes in to great detail every aspect of the game from learning the different hands to learning the rules of the game. Well recommended for the beginner.

After deciding to form a ladies poker night I bought this to learn how to play. It's a good book but you need to plough through quite a lot to really get to grips. Some simple questions like 'can I pass anytime' are hard to find. However a good glossary and a table with all the winning hands. Playing on line (no real money) once I had read this made it all make more sense. It's a good place to start though I thinki could have really done with the 'idiots guide' really!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy book 6 Dec 2009
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I bought two copies; one for a friend and one to keep. I found it easy to read. I play a lot of Hold Em, but there are some useful reminders of what to do / not do when playing. Something to dip into, regularly, rather than read from cover to cover. Recommended.

This is one book i'd highly recomend for anyone who wants to learn how to play poker, i've been threw about 4 other books and 2 dvd's on trying to know how to play it and none of them have helped me understand it more than this one did.

Texas Hold'em is an easy game to play and loads of fun when playing with family, friends or just about anyone.

This book has 1 answer to it ..... you learn how to play poker and it gives you great tips for when you do play it too.
