3.0 out of 5 stars Fairly enjoyable Texan anthology 20 Mar 2008

Format:Mass Market Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book contains three sexy Blaze stories which all revolve around a Valentine's Day newspaper contest. Set in Texas, each tells a different story of hunky, Texas cowboys and the women that tame them.

Real Good Man - Kimberly Raye
Cheryl Anne Cash is fed up of being dowdy, sensible and boring - so she decides to spice up her life by dumping her long term boyfriend and becoming a "carnal" coach. But things get complicated when her ex doesn't want to let her go and wants her to show him all her new found skills.

This was a cute, light read about two people who had lost the essential sparkle in their lives. Although I didn't understand the motivations of the main characters at certain times - this was still a well-written story that kept you turning the pages.

Unbroken - Alison Kent
Dr. Tess Autrey is writing a story on rodeo 'buckle bunnies' and decides to do a bit of time at a ranch for some in depth research. But when ranch owner Wyatt Crowe turns up the heat - the research becomes more one-on-one.

This story really wasn't my cup of tea. It was slow paced and in my opinion, slightly boring. I didn't like either of the main characters and while I'm usually happy to suspend belief in a romance - I just didn't believe this happily-ever-after. Disappointing.

I Can Still Feel You - Cara Summers
Several months ago chef Macy Chandler had a sizzling affair with Texas Ranger Cade Dillon until he disappeared in the night. Now he's back and Macy is determined not to fall into the same trap as before. But this time Macy's life is in danger and Cade has no problem in staying as close as possible.

This was a slightly different story to the first two as there was the danger element thrown in along with the romance.

5.0 out of 5 stars A nice mix of flavors 20 Feb 2008
By Laurie D - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
REAL GOOD MAN by Kimberly Raye - definitely the "fluff" of this anthology. Former lovers rediscovering each other. Lighthearted and sweet.
UNBROKEN by Alison Kent - without a doubt the meatiest of the three stories. Edgy and intensely heated, this cowboy story is especially good, Alison Kent never fails to deliver.
I CAN STILL FFEEL YOU by Cara Summers - perhaps a little more erotic than the other two with a touch of suspense.

This Blaze anthology has a fun mix of author voices. All are loaded with sexiness and heartfelt emotion, and I highly recommend it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Tex Appeal: Real Good Man\Unbroken\I Can Still Feel You 27 Jun 2009

This had 3 great stories in one book.
A real good man by Kimberly Rays
shows how just because you want something doesn't mean you shouldn't speak up and tell your partner they may be along the same lines. Cheryl wants Dayne but she feels something is missing instead of telling him she runs. What happens next is of course what keeps us all hooked.

Unbroken by Alison Kent

This story was good because the woman knows what she wants and when she sees that that the man is nervous but wants the same she goes for it. Sometimes as women we need to be more assertive and go for what we want. Tess sees that in Wyatt and is willing to do anything to break that cowboy.

I can still feel you by Cara Summers

Macy is heartbroken over the way that Cade left her but that doesn't mean that revenge can be fun to. No man can refuse a wild willing woman when she bears it all. It was great fun to watch the two of them struggle with the love and lust they feel for one another yet at the same time fight to keep Macy safe.

This book is great to read all snuggled up on your couch and just have some really good fantasies or a really good time with your partner afterwords.
