I bought this pair of Teva's and thought the waterproof event system would allow my feet to breath easily.. but my feet felt like
they were inside a plastic bag. So if you live in a warm climate like southern california, arizona, etc... i would not recommend these shoes unless you dont sweat very much when you hike. Otherwise they are probably one of the best hiking shoes i have had in a long time. The soles are durable and grip fantastic, the vibram and cushion sole system is superb and after 10 miles hiking it was super comfortable and the front toe rubber is very solid.
I opted to return them for the Teva Riva MESH shoes that dont have the event waterproof system inside ....and will post a review once i get those. But for someone that lives in rainy areas, or cold areas, surely the event system might be best but not for warm areas or even slightly warm as i tried both thin wool, cotton and performance socks and i sweated too much to keep them.
