Product Description

Discover the pH of your urine or saliva with our super accurate pH test Strips. Made specifically to test saliva and urine these are by far the most accurate and economical test strips on the market. pH testing strips give you the ability to test your urine or saliva each day to gauge your internal health. This enables you to adjust your diet and supplements to achieve the optimum balance for health and peace of mind. Which area is your Body in? The VERY ACIDIC area: 4.5 - 5.75 This "danger zone" is NOT where you want your pH to be. If you're in this area, you MUST take serious steps to correct this acidity. If your pH is in this range, your body is 50 to 100 times too acidic! An internal terrain like this is poison to your cells. The ACIDIC area: 6.0 - 6.5 In this "caution" zone, your body is 5 to 10 times too acidic. Making alterations to your diet and supplementing these diet changes with alkalising elements will help to bring your pH back up to where to should be. The IDEAL area : 6.75 - 7.25 If your pH reading is in this zone, congratulations! Keep up the good work by maintaining an alkalising lifestyle.

I purchased these to indirectly calculate my blood pH by testing my saliva and urine at specific times of the day.

I didn't anticipate any problems whilst using these but the 1st problem was how to open the lid. It was impossible. You do have to be ever so careful or each strip will fall on the floor if you use excessive force.

The strips themselfs are just thin flexible pieces of specialised paper with 2 coloured sections at one end that turn colour when immersed in liquid for 0.5 seconds.

Are they easy to interpret?, No. The difference between a result of 6.5, 7.0 and 7.5 is very subjective and is purely based on how each persons eyes detect colours (genetics). I have a very large family from 10 years old to 95 and we all had different results. Given that most urine and saliva tests fall within the 6.5 to 7.5 range, this is a problem!.

However saying that I have worked in laboratories for a number of years and even test equipment worth thousands of pounds never give you clear cut results. Most results are subjective to interpret, especially when analysing colours with your eyes.

If I had a serious medical problem (I am not a qualified doctor, I'm only saying what I would do, if you have any concerns then I advise you to go through your GP / Specialist), then I would buy a more expensive pH meter, one that can get calibrated and serviced so that you can get numerical results without you having the subjectiveness of eye interpretations.

In my experience If my pH is between 5 to 6.5 I find it useful to take either Sodium Bicarbonate powder or Potassium Citrate powder. Lemons and Apple Cider vinegar are also very effective but they erode your tooth enamel. You would be doing more bad than good.

These test strips are perfect for assessing how acidic your body is, and thus being able to correct it with a mostly alkaline diet. Just dip a strip in water and read off the colour match for an accurate pH level. Scary when you find out how acidic tap water is.... I now add a tiny drop of bicarb to my drinking water to neutralise it.

I'm not sure these strips work correctly. Each strip has 2 squares with different colours on them. You have to dip the strip in the liquid you want to test and then read the results comparing the colours on both squares to the colour chart provided on the box. However, the colours on the strips never match both colours on the same column of the colour chart on the box. For example: the top square matches the colour on ph 6.5 but the bottom square matches the colour on ph 5.75 so I never know exactly what the ph result is. I don't trust these and I'm going to buy strips that have only one square to read to avoid this sort of confusion.

100 in the pack is a great amount, they work well, 2 squares on the strips and good enough to give you a visual reading of what your body is doing or where it is at.

for saliva dip in a spoon of saliva and then match up the 2 strip colours to the chart on the back of the strip box

for urine a 2 second burst or so then in and out of the stream with the strip wait 15 secs and then take a reading,i only take one reading but if you do one after the other the readings may be different because the content may be different.

the box lid is a serious tight fit i think it was designed to prevent water from leaking so get a crowbar to open it the first time...next time...do not push the lid all the way down just "nip it" then, when time to open, hold the main body in one hand, slowly gently wiggle the lid sides with the other hand, stops them flying out...for me at least :-)

these for me work very well, an very happy to recommend.
