Terry-Thomas does tell a lot of tales in this book. It is more of a biography than a comedy, although there is a lot of humor in it. TT was a gentleman, so he doesn't always give all the explicit details of which he knew. But, he is amazingly forthright in telling the incidents and discussing the persons in his life.
Sadly, TT was struck by Parkinson's Disease and began a painfully slow decline. Coauthor (so to speak) Terry Daum explains these events and completes the book.
Overall, it depicts life as it was in the entertainment field in Britain and the US, along with some descriptive "snapshots" of many international celebrities. TT also gives us his inside insights into humor and artistic endeavors, some of which might surprise you.
There are many humorous passages and insights in this book, making it a welcome addition to any bookshelf. And, just looking at that famous face on the cover and the back cover will make you smile.
Cheers, Mr. Thomas!
