At last BBC sitcoms are being released at a much quicker pace. After three months since the release of series 2, the third Terry and June instalment is out. By now the series has adjusted to the new format [compared to Happy Ever After] and is in full swing.
This is the most consistent of all Terry and June releases so far and there are many classic moments to delight fans in this series. Perhaps the best moment is seeing Terry Scott dressed up in a plump rabbit costume and almost being caught be the fearsome Sir Dennis. Quite clearly, Terry Scott is on top form throughout the series and he performs with great panache throughout. This series does benefit from a new antagonist for Terry in the shape of Tarquin Spry as well as more regular appearances from Malcolm and Beattie. June Whitfield is, of course, outstanding and allows Terry to shine throughout.
One extra on the DVD is the 1981 Christmas Special which is one of the best episodes on the DVD. A very good comedy!
