Had a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 and didn't bother with a case. One day I dropped it and smashed the screen, facing a bill of £60 for the repair. Received the Galaxy S3 Mini for my birthday and decided to get a proper case in case I dropped it.
It's made of leather, has a plastic thing which accepts the phone and keeps it secure, has two pockets for credit cards and a pocket behind for larger items, money perhaps. It uses a strap to keep it secure, but it does not close with a magnet like other cases but another strip of leather to push the strap into. This may possibly be a woman's phone case, as it has a wrist strap (which I don't use) the closing strap seems to be on the wrong side.
Very good value for money and great protection for an expensive smartphone.
