With a reported budget of $172 million, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines starts in high gear and never slows down. The apocalyptic "Judgment Day" of Terminator 2 was never prevented, only postponed: John Connor (Nick Stahl, replacing T2's Edward Furlong), now 22 and disconnected from society, is being pursued yet again, this time by the advanced T-X, a sleek "Terminatrix" (coldly expressionless Kristanna Loken) programmed to stop Connor from becoming the saviour of humankind. Originally programmed as an assassin, a disadvantaged T-101 cyborg (Arnold Schwarzenegger, bidding fond farewell to his signature role) arrives from the future to join Connor and his old acquaintance Kate (Claire Danes) in thwarting the T-X's relentless pursuit. The plot presents a logical fulfillment of T2 prophesy, disposing of Connor's mother (Linda Hamilton is sorely missed) while computer-driven machines assume control, launching a nuclear nightmare that Connor must survive. Format:Blu-ray
I think the best thing about this film is the sense of surprising scariness that the baddie lady robot brings to this movie. First time I saw it, that was all I remembered about it, the scary robot. But I was disappointed with the way it ended. However, when I watched it again on this Blu-ray set, the whole thing made a bit more coherent sense and actually the ending was quite fitting and the film has gone up a notch in my estimation. The arnie T1 and T2 cliches return, and some of them work and some don't. A sense of self parody there but it's harmless fun. The menacing robot lady is just as scary watching the film second time round, and the film starts with and builds eve more tension very effectively throughout. The transfer to Blu-ray is very good and I'm glad I got this edition.

Termninator3 is probably the weakest of the 4 films but its not a total disaster. Ok, so its not as menacing as the first 2 films and the "funny" bits are unwanted but its still a decent action film. The bluray is good quality and picture is nice and crisp as you would expect. Take it for what it is.... a continuation of the Terminator series thats not as good as the first 2...just try and look away at the attempted humour momemts, they just don't fit in a Terminator film!

As it was released few months ago, the quality of this blu ray is up to 2009 standard, lots of extra and lossless soundtrack.
This is superior to the US version which contains dolby 5.1 soundtrack.

Poorest out of the first 3 films
I think this was worst of the first 3 films. It has less action scenes than Terminator and Terminator 2 and less violent. hence the 12 rating, not a good sign. Read more

Best of four
Terminator 3 is the by far the best of the franchise including Christian Bale's version. Why? Because everything is bold and complete, integrating all aspects of the story. Read more
