It just shows everyone what a director can come up with when he's lying in a hospital bed, James Cameron thought up and created a story that has since become one of the greatest and enthralling movies of all time. Back in 1984, an indestructible cyborg called the Terminator (Schwarzenegger) was sent back from the future of 2029 to terminate Sarah Connor (Hamilton) a young woman who, one day, will give birth to the leader of the human resistance, John Connor. Sarah isn't alone to fight this robot killer, the resistance has also sent back a guerilla fighter to help her terminate the cyborg, Kyle Reese (Biehn). A fight now begins over central Los Angeles between Sarah, Kyle and the Terminator.
As the Terminator cuts a swath of destruction as he goes about his business to complete his objective, Sarah and Kyle are desperately trying to get as far away from it as possible. The TErminator defies the word "terifying' as he cuts, shoots and kills his way through civilians, gunsmiths and police in his one mission to bring about the end of mankind.
Cameron says in one of the many documentaries that the story went pretty much as he originally thought it to. Only having to make a few minor changes before the shooting of the greatest cyborg movie began. Many of the scenes in this film are still remembered today, 20 years later. Such as the sickening eviscerating scene at the beginning, or the rather emplifying sex scene between Kyle and Sarah about 30 minutes from the film's end.
