Comprising of three soundtracks (Teorema (1968), La stagione dei sensi (1969) & Vergogna schifosi (1969 from the ever prolific Morricone's finest period, this is the perfect introduction to his late 60's work. All the cornerstones from Morricone's sound are represented - trippy, easy-listening, psychedelic, avant-garde, lush instrumentation and of course the unique and otherworldly vocals of the remarkable Edda Dell'Orso.
The real highlight here is the soundtrack to 'Vergogna Schifosi', particularly the stunning 'Un Altro Mare' - a trippy, psychedelic, easy-listening (yes, all in one song) masterpiece where the aforementioned Dell'Orso puts in another career defining performance.
Morricone's soundtrack to 1971's Veruschka compliments this collection perfectly.
