Product Description

Product Description

Be free to live an active life. One in four women experiences a degree of incontinence after giving birth, and anyone can suffer from the condition at any time of their lives. Despite this prevalence, it can be debilitating, embarrassing, unpleasant and seldom discussed, and very few sufferers seek any sort of treatment or help. However, this common condition can be easily treated.

Physiotherapists and doctors recommend pelvic floor exercises to help improve levels of continence, but often these are not enough on their own, and it is very difficult to know exactly which muscles need to be exercised--in some cases the muscles may be so weak that they are unable to perform simple movements in the first place. Some women are unable to voluntarily exercise the pelvic floor muscle themselves and require assistance. This is when the itouch sure is required, playing a vital role in locating and exercising the muscle for you. The itouch Sure is the ideal way to build up strength in the pelvic floor, and results can be seen in as little as a few weeks.

The itouch Sure unit uses gentle electrotherapy to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles into regaining their strength and flexibility. Using a vaginal probe, it delivers electrical impulses which target the correct location. The pulses are not painful, but produce a mild tingling sensation. Best of all, itouch Sure does not have any side-effects, requires no drugs, and can reduce or even eliminate the need for surgery.

In particularly severe cases, electrotherapy may be the only way to initiate the recovery of your pelvic floor. itouch Sure is suitable for women suffering from any of the three types of incontinence: stress, urge and mixed.

Using itouch Sure will not only improve continence levels, therefore raising your confidence and general comfort, but will also help to enhance your sexual health. A strong pelvic floor will allow you to do all of the activities unhindered and without worry which, in the past, you may have taken for granted; jumping, laughing, carrying children, sneezing, running, sex, and countless more.

The itouch Sure should be used for 20 minutes each day, ideally during any seated activity, for a two-month period. After this time, considerable improvement should be apparent, although many women choose to continue using the machine after this time. Designed with ease-of-use in mind the device features 4 clinically proven programmes to exercise the muscle according to the type of bladder weakness you experience; stress, urge, mixed or tone. The kit comes with full instructions as well as a helpline for further information (call 01372 723 434). The unit is guaranteed for two years (this does not cover consumables such as batteries and electrodes).

Getting your life back on track is easy, simple, discreet and pain-free. Why wait any longer?

Important: Hold button for a few seconds to switch on. Be aware the unit switches off when not in use.

As a middle aged woman who's had surgery & takes prescribed meds for incontinence (both without 100% success), this was a last-ditch attempt for which I didn't have any great hopes. I'm delighted to say I was wrong - only a few weeks in, & the difference is notable. I've stopped taking my meds & don't need to wear pads every day. After experimenting, I've discovered that, for me, the MIXED programme is much less effective. Although it's recommended for cases of urge & stress (like mine) I've got much better results from a daily session of URGE followed by one of STRESS. I've made it part of my nightly routine - I use the exerciser while I'm reading in bed before sleeping - so it doesn't intrude on my life. DO heed the instructions to start at a low setting if you don't have much sensation in the pelvic floor - sensation will come back really quickly & then you can build up the power setting. Learn from my mistake: I was impatient & started off much too high - & the resulting strained muscles meant I had what felt like really bad period pains the next day.
Only minor criticism is that the instructions don't give any clue as to maximum recommended power, saying you should be guided by your own tolerance levels. Since my pain/discomfort threshold is really high, that's not much of a guide. I assume the unit only operates within safe levels, but it would have been good to have it in black & white. That minor niggle, however, is not enough to give this life-transforming gadget anything less than five stars.

I bought this device after a bit of self diagnosis and suffering with incontinence since the birth of my son. Thanks to google I believe that Ihave urge incontinence which the device claims to help, but the device also claims to help stress incontinence and can be used for faecal incontinence as well but you'd (definitely) need a different probe.
Delivery was prompt and the item came in the usual Amazon packaging. Inside the box is:
1 ITens sure device
2 leads - 1 short and 1 longer one
1 vaginal probe
Purple pouch
Quick start guide
Instruction booklet
2AA batteries

The actual product is silver-coloured plastic, small and handheld -quite thick but not as long as your average mobile phone, with a blue digital screen. The long lead plugs into the device, the short lead is attached to the long lead and then plugged into the probe. There are 4 different settings - stress, urge, mixed and tone which is used for maintenance once your bits are all as they should be.
I started with the urge setting for the default 20 mins at 25. The feeling is like a lifting and contracting of 'the upstairs parts of your downstairs bits' and isn't unpleasant, and doesn't feel erotic or sexual in anyway. The booklet recommends that you squeeze your muscles during the contraction so this increases the 'pull'. It's also important to empty your bladder beforehand as if not you will not be able to hold a full bladder through the programme!!
After a few days use, and more reading of the booklet, I think that the urge setting is not the best for my condition as it seemed to make it a bit worse so now use the 'mixed' setting. Mixed feels similar to the urge setting but almost feels like a periods of gentle bubbling and tugging - again not uncomfortable or unpleasant.

I found it very effective, even after one month much improved (though the leaflet says 3 months for stress). I just relax on the bed reading for 20 mins - if only their was a body toning version!
