Tenore - a breathtaking collection of captivating arias and well-loved classics.
He has been called "Britain’s teenage Pavarotti" and now Jonathan Antoine's highly-anticipated debut solo album, Tenore
, is finally here. The album is produced by multi-Grammy nominated music producer, Anna Barry, famous for her work with Andrea Bocelli, Jose Carreras, the Kirov Opera and Andrew Lloyd Webber, to name but a few.
“There’s only one way to express what music gives me. It gives me a purpose. It gives me point. When I sing, I can just be me”, says Jonathan Antoine.
The nineteen year-old tenor, who became a worldwide sensation after his appearance on Britain’s Got Talent in 2012, has been to some dark places in his young life, but he has come through that darkness, thanks to the power of music and his extraordinary natural talent. Tenore
is the perfect vehicle for the passion Jonathan clearly feels for this repertoire. Of some of the repertoire choices, Jonathan notes, “I have chosen "La donna e mobile" from Verdi’s Rigoletto
as the opera is such huge fun! I was first introduced to it by Sara Reynolds, my teacher from The Junior Royal Academy Of Music, so it has wonderful associations for me. I have been singing "Panis Angelicus" ever since the age of 13. I was taught it by Jenny Ewington, my very first singing teacher, so it has extra special meaning for me. Just to ring the changes, I have included "Love Changes Everything" on the album and I can’t wait for you to hear it!”
